Dark Rim small Plate

The details of this handmade ceramic plate look as if you were studying the back of an Aspen tree, growing in a Pacific Northwest National Forest.

The Dark rim frames the plated in its varying tone that brings elegant playfulness to the aspen white glaze. I called this glaze Aspen, as it reminds me of an Aspen Tree bark with its brown and pink hues or the orange flashes on the bare clay.  The vibrant hues and fine details of this plate make for the perfect canvas to plate your hand-crafted food creations.

The raised edges allow this plate to be used for a variety of meals. It is able to hold sauces well and is perfect as a pasta plate, and can be used as an all-around dinner plate.

All of my handmade ceramics are one of a kind, with intricate details that make each piece a unique work of art. Each Aspen Plate will have a special, unique canvas of color tones. It may range from a shiny finish, to a matte look, to a stone-like appearance depending upon where it is placed in the kiln. No two pieces are the same.
