The monumental beauty of the deserts echos in your hands when you touch this vessel, transcending the landscape into your moment of sharing sake with friends. The Desert glaze design is a combination of two glazes; inside is a brown-black glaze that is very functional with its smooth, shiny surface that is pleasant on your lips, while outside is a matte yellow-ochre color, a wood ash glaze with rusty brown spots.

The ever-changing earth and rust tones invoke feelings of renewal and harmony. Every single tree on this earth’s ash will produce a different glaze, all depending upon what that tree was fed from the soil in its lifetime. All of my handmade ceramics are one of a kind, with intricate details that make each piece a unique work of art.
